Silver Moon

After a couple of tiring days on the road, the proprietor of silver moon guest house welcomed us and offered us a place to sit, relax, and have coffee while our room was being cleaned. A bigger, more luxurious room might cost more, but I doubt you’ll find a more welcoming place to spend the night.

The family room with two double beds suited us perfectly, and the location is good, just five minutes from the beach. It’s basic but fine for a budget trip. Joe's cafe is right at the entrance, though the menu is limited. There was no exhaust fan in the toilet, and water was leaking from the AC.

The room is small, but the staff are helpful, and they have a restaurant with a nice breakfast and drinks. I was disappointed that the relaxing seating area shown in the photos, with chairs, isn't there anymore.

There are several restaurants nearby, and even on sunny days the non AC room stayed cool with plenty of wind. Rates were about Rs 800/- for non AC and Rs.1300/- for AC. I had a ground floor room for one night. The room and toilet looked clean, but one side of my bedsheet was dirty. The owner didn't seem friendly, so I couldn't ask him to change it. Also, Agoda's amenities list showed a TV, but there wasn't one in the room.
