Truliv Villa Ivory

We spent three days at Truliv Villa Ivory for a business retreat with a team of 15. It was calm and connected us with nature, so it would suit time with family or friends too. It also has the iconic Pizza Villa tag, since the movie Pizza was shot there. If you’re considering it, just book without a second thought.

The pool floor was very slimy and felt unsafe, and the caretaker began cleaning while we were still inside the property. That made us really uncomfortable. The kitchen gas burner didn’t work, so only the induction stove was usable, and the tea cups were visibly dirty. We had to remind the caretaker several times before getting towels. There was no hot water in any of the three upstairs rooms, and one room didn’t even have a bucket. The bathrooms were extremely untidy, with dirty toilets, and a few rooms plus the downstairs bathroom smelled foul as soon as we arrived. The property is very poorly maintained and didn’t meet basic hygiene or guest privacy standards.

We had a great weekend here. The place was neat and clean, and the pool was well maintained. The beach is close, and other places are accessible too. My one suggestion is to get functional water heaters or solar heaters with enough storage capacity.

The manager, kathiresan sir, was kind and good, and the cleaning was top notch. We found the accommodation comfortable and the amenities excellent. I really enjoyed our stay at ivory villa and would highly recommend it.
