The farm is the real highlight for me. I got to taste mint, oregano, baby corn, paan leaf, cherry tomatoes, jalapeno, basil and desi cucumber, all grown around the property. There’s an organic greenhouse too, and farming is actively done across the surrounding agricultural land, including pomegranate, papaya, herbs, fruits and vegetables. Marokhet sits on 40 acres but has just 10 cottages, so it feels spacious and private. Our cottage had plenty of room, two outdoor sitting areas, comfortable places to relax and lovely views across the fields. There are distinctive things to try here, including “Ustra,” a traditional shave under a neem tree, and Paero’s nine-course tasting menu. The menu costs around ₹4,000 per person plus taxes, and I’d recommend it. The stay is definitely expensive, though there’s plenty to do once you’re on the property. I’d allow at least two days to enjoy the activities and experiences. It’s about 30-40 km from Jodhpur and took us roughly an hour to reach. Being outside the city means limited connectivity to Jodhpur, so plan with the remote location in mind. A peaceful, unusual farm stay if that works for you.

The meals were a real highlight. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and carefully put together, and the food went beyond what we expected. The chef deserves a special mention. We felt very well looked after during our lovely, peaceful stay at Mharo Khet. GM chandan sinhji was warm, easy to approach and supportive, and the care for guests came through in the service. The surroundings are beautiful too. We’d gladly recommend it and would love to come back.

The sunflower field, the food and the champi were my favourite parts. Such a lovely property, and I really enjoyed the time and experiences here. The team is so warm and sweet. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

The chef came to our table to explain each of the nine small plates, and the food was excellent. We visited for a farm tour followed by an open-air dinner. It’s a great way to see rural India and learn about a self-sustainable vegetarian community.

What a mix of stories, atmosphere and flavours. The contemporary Indian dishes at Paeru by Mharo Khet are imagined by a brilliant chef using ingredients you can see growing in the khet around you, with the story behind each dish shared as you eat. Head chef Ishaan Ahluwalia has done a fantastic job putting together a menu that really sparks your taste buds. An 11/10 experience 🌟
