My experience here was the worst I've had at any hotel. Don't book it, even if it's free. The photos online showed good rooms, but what they posted and what we found were completely different. They charge extra for a balcony view, and the online balcony photos show forest and mountains. In reality, there were undergarments soaking in front of the balcony. Literally undergarments, and I'm attaching a photo. Room service was terrible too. There were bed bugs on the bed, a smell in the toilet sheet, and stains. No lift, no wifi. I'd suggest staying on the road instead of booking this hotel.

The room setup was in bad shape, with messy curtains and a really dirty bedsheet, and the Wi-Fi stopped working after evening. The owner and staff were aggressive and unwilling to cooperate. What should have been a wonderful trip was badly let down by this hotel.

We had a good view from the room, with a choice of mountain or forest scenery. The place has parking and nearby walking attractions, and its partner hotel, Mountain Top, provided good enough service.

Hadimba Temple is within walking distance, which is a real plus, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They arranged an early check-in and let us use the washroom before the room was ready. The Rs. 200 breakfast buffet was excellent value, too. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Room heaters cost extra, though, and we sometimes had trouble getting hot water even with the bathroom heater. I also tried the fried rice for dinner, but its flavor wasn't to my taste, maybe because we're used to Kerala-style food. Still, we had a good stay, and the location and service make it worth recommending.
