Hotel Imperial Palace

Food's very good, rooms are decent, and the service is friendly. Rates change depending on the season. The heater needs attention: at 300 per day, the below-average unit feels costly and doesn't heat very well. Apart from that, the other things are satisfactory.

The highlight of our June 6-7 stay was MD Mr. Vijay Kapoor, who helped us at every step and took special care of my mother, a senior citizen. I'm very grateful to him. He's a thorough gentleman. The hotel has a good ambience and location, and the third-floor balcony has a marvellous view of snow-capped mountains, *exotic himalaya*. Dinner was just OK the first night and quite good the second day. Their buffet breakfast was good, and if we left early in the morning they'd pack butter and jam toast for us. There's no lift, but the staff are cooperative.

The surrounding snow-covered mountains are beautiful, and the hotel, service, and food were good. But the blanket and quilt were dirty and had to be changed. At night, loud music, as if a party was going on, disturbed us.

Service to the room was good, but the food was average and the room itself was too. It seemed like the room hadn't been furnished in years. The geysers were very inefficient. They gave us third-grade heaters in -6°C, and they barely warmed the area right around them.
