Hotel Negi's Shivalya

The canteen food was really good, and the staff were nice and cooperative. We had a nice stay, with easy access to the location, very close to Manali mall road.

The room, food, and service were good at first, but checkout left a bad impression. We had to leave at 4:30 morning during peak season to avoid traffic jams. Nobody was at reception, the lights were off, and the door was locked from inside. The service staff's mobile was switched off, so we had to knock for help carrying the luggage downstairs. The stair lights were off too, and it was so dark that my father's foot slipped on the stairs and he nearly fell. After we got downstairs and knocked a few times, one staff member woke up and got angry at us without a valid reason. He yelled that we shouldn't speak loudly or make noise because guests were sleeping, and asked who leaves for manali at that time and expects service. Leaving early didn't seem to occur to them as something guests might need to do. Everything else had been good, and I could have given the hotel 5 stars, but they showed us a bad side at the end.

The prices are lower than other hotels, and the service is very good for what they charge, so it feels worth the money. The staff were supportive and room service was on point. I had an amazing stay and could enjoy the trip in peace.

All the basic amenities were there, but the place wasn't what I expected. It's overpriced for somewhere near mall road. I'd stay here if there were no other options.
