Narayan Vatika Cottage

We were a family of four and booked the family suite at narayan vatika cottage for New Year 2019. It cost 2000 bucks at peak time, which was the cheapest option around, so from the Google photos I expected an average room. The suite turned out much nicer than I expected: two bedrooms, one with a round bed, two sofa sets, a TV, and a balcony, and the other with a queen bed. Both rooms had big wardrobes, and there was space on the balcony to dry clothes. The only small drawback was the Indian toilet, which some people may not prefer. The rest of the bathroom fittings were great, and there was a geyser. The owners were generous with warm and hot drinking water at any time. Power did go out frequently during our stay, which was a bit of a problem since there was no backup. It was still a great stay. Finding the place can be a little difficult, but there's car parking, and you can call the owners when you arrive. A taxi to mall road costs ₹100, or it's a 1 Km walk. In manali, taxis or autos cost ₹ 100/2 km.

Whenever I come to Manali, I love staying at Narayan Vatika Cottage. It's in a beautiful hill station setting and is well maintained, with modern amenities. The owner makes cleanliness a priority, and the staff are well behaved. I always recommend this Hotel.

We've stayed at more than 10 cottages, and this was the worst experience of all. The owner's behaviour and the wrong information given during Online booking left us so frustrated that it felt like we could end up in a fight. I'm going to raise this on all social media platforms. Please avoid this Cottage or Homestay.

There’s no road, and it’s very far from town. There’s no room service.
