NAZAARA - A Luxe Retreat

The team made everything easy, from check-in to quick, friendly help whenever we needed it. We also ate well here, with fresh, nicely presented food and enough choices for different tastes. The setting is the real draw: mountain and valley views, quiet surroundings, and big windows in clean, spacious rooms. Waking up to the fresh air was lovely. Nazaara Retreat Manali would suit families or couples wanting a calm break, and I’d happily return.

The restaurant service was quick and professional, and we especially enjoyed the local dishes. Our room was cozy, clean, and well looked after. With the quiet hills, fresh air, and gorgeous mountain scenery around it, this was a lovely place to get away from city noise. The staff were polite and always willing to help. A relaxing choice for families, couples, or anyone who likes being in the mountains.

The balcony view and the surroundings were beautiful, and the staff made a great first impression. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist. It was a good stay, apart from one issue: we had no hot water during all four nights, so that needs fixing.

We booked Room No. 403, the top-floor room with a Jacuzzi, for ₹7500. Other rooms were ₹3-4k, but I paid more hoping to give my daughter and family a special stay. The strong wind at night made a constant, loud noise, and it felt as if the roof could blow away. I tried to put that aside, expecting the morning to be better. Instead, there was no hot water. I called room service at about 9:30 AM, and a staff member said “thodi der mein aa jayega.” It never came. Dirty water also started flowing into the Jacuzzi, and even after it was full there was no hot water, so we couldn’t use it at all. I kept calling reception. First they said “checking kar rahe hain,” then, by 11:30 AM, that it would take time. We were out of time, and my whole family had to leave without bathing. At checkout I explained that the Jacuzzi was the reason I chose the costliest room and asked for a discount since it never worked. They argued instead, saying “paani thoda garm tha,” which simply wasn’t true. I had already paid ₹4500 cash when booking, with ₹5567 still due. Their casual offer was “sir ₹67 kam kar dete hain, ₹5500 kar do”. After all that, treating ₹67 as enough of an adjustment was shocking. I ended up paying the full ₹5567, with no discount, apology, or acceptance of responsibility. If basic hot water and a working Jacuzzi aren’t available, premium prices make no sense. Service and management were very poor. Strongly not recommended, especially the premium rooms.
