The Destination Manali

We were two people stopping at Hotel Destination, Manali for one night before heading out to explore the mountains. After an overnight bus ride from Delhi, we needed somewhere affordable to freshen up, adjust to the colder weather, and find a nearby bike rental. It worked well for that. The balcony was the highlight, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Our room was small but clean, well cared for, and had the basics we needed for one or two people. Getting there is the main drawback. Mall Road is about an 8-minute walk away, but the route climbs steeply along a busy road, so hauling heavy bags could be difficult. If you’re fine with that short walk, it’s a solid choice for a peaceful stay with a great view. The hotel suited our need for a quick, restful halt.

We were three friends and stayed for 3 days. It felt worth it each day, with affordable rooms and food. The food was good, and the service was fast, including quick food delivery when we ordered by telephone. The TV worked well, and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow but available 24 hours. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The room, bedsheets, pillows, and washroom were clean and well maintained, and there was hot water 24 hours. The location felt safe and was about a 10-minute walk from Mall Road.

We booked directly after speaking with the owner, Mr Punit Chopra, and later extended our stay because we were happy with the service. He was decent and helpful, provided the facilities he had promised, and the rates felt fair. The staff were cooperative too. The balcony room had a mesmerizing view of snow-covered peaks. The food was delicious, and they even made kheer when we asked. The hotel is within walking distance of Mall Road, and we had a nice stay.

The balcony view was beautiful, and the hotel was very nice, with clean rooms. I stayed 3 days in January, in a super deluxe double room and also a deluxe double room without a balcony. The latter still had a nice view. The rates were within budget, and it’s a 5-7 minute walk to the mall. The staff were especially good and very helpful. If I plan another visit, I’ll definitely stay here again.
