My wife loved the quiet and the beautiful view, and our toddler had a great time running around the garden and looking at the mountains. I’ve been coming to this beautiful property in the middle of Old Manali since around 2009, and in November 2025 we stayed for three days as a family. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

I’ve never stayed here, but I heard about a disturbing case involving a family who experienced what they described as extreme paranormal activity. One family member said they encountered the spirit of a Punjabi woman, supposedly the wife of a British man whose grandfather owned the hotel. Seeing all the positive feedback surprised me. I may come here in the future.

We went for walks from the property and I have good memories of the place. It’s in a quieter part of Manali and has a heritage feel, but don’t expect five star luxury. If you’re happy to relax and live more like you’re in a house in Manali, it’s fine. I found it a bit overpriced, though the experience was worth it. You’ll need to be comfortable walking.

Srishtee and Aman, the property managers, deserve a special thanks. We loved our two nights at Sunshine Heritage. The rooms and location are nice, the property is well kept, and every corner is picturesque. If you want a heritage stay, you should stay here.

A few things could use attention: the rooms had no amenities or supplies, and cleanliness needs a little work. Still, the hospitality from Mr Aman and Mr Rajnish was amazing, and the staff were warm and attentive. The heritage property is beautifully preserved, with striking architecture and authentic details that make it feel like another era. Its old world charm sits well with modern comfort, and the place feels welcoming and peaceful. An unforgettable stay for anyone who enjoys history and elegance.
