The staff were warm and helpful, which is why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1. Otherwise, this feels more like a guesthouse or lodge than a hotel, and the downsides are endless. Getting there is rough: there’s no road access, so you park on a public road and take a taxi along a dirt off-road track with boulders. In the room, the decor is tacky, the main door card locks don’t work, and the bathroom has a strong bad smell. The Wi-Fi seems to be just for show, the internet didn’t work, the TV remote was broken, and supplies for making tea in the kettle were missing.

With few rooms and a spot beside the river, this place felt calm and private. It’s a beautiful, nature-filled property, away from the city bustle, and a paradise for birders. We enjoyed being outdoors and, when we asked, got some very homely food. One thing to keep an eye on is the plastic scattered around the property. It may have been blown in by wind or left with water. It would be nice if staff picked it up whenever they noticed it. The property is eco-friendly, and we liked its no-plastic policy. Good luck!

They couldn’t take credit cards and weren’t able to provide a proper invoice. For what you get in service quality and food variety, I found it far too expensive. I wouldn’t go back after such a poor experience. To me, it’s worth Rs 1500-2000 per day.

The ambience was nice, and I really liked the food quality. I came here on vacation with friends and had a great time. It’s a lovely place to visit again, and I’d recommend it to friends and family planning a Manali holiday.
