Hotel Chobdar Haveli

Chobdar Haveli felt like an oasis after exploring town. The authentic property and room were clean and well maintained, and thoughtful little details made the stay more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the warm-hearted people at Chobdar Haveli made me feel more welcome than I could have hoped. I'm grateful for the two nights I spent there and would love to return.

We had dinner and breakfast at a candlelit table, with delicious thalis prepared by the home chef. It felt lovely and pretty romantic. My upstairs room was huge and clean, with a nice heritage feel, and the bathroom was just as spacious with working hot water. The shared terrace was quiet in the evenings and lovely for sunsets. One of my best stays in India. I'd go back anytime. The haveli is near Mandawa's havelis, though the town is small anyway.

We stayed one night at Chobdar Haveli near the start of our India trip. Now, a few weeks later, it's clear this was one of our best choices for quality and value. Mandawa is small, and the haveli is perfectly placed for visiting its other painted havelis. On arrival we could choose between two rooms. Both were large, spotless, and carefully decorated to bring out a feeling of heritage and luxury. The bathrooms were huge too, with big bathtubs that looked made for a long soak. The staff were attentive, polite, and helpful from the start. We stayed in for dinner. Since we were the only diners that night, it was freshly cooked just for us and served at our own private table. All three courses were delicious and beautifully presented, and so far it's been the cheapest meal we've had in any hotel. I'd highly recommend the place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Mandawa.

We had a lovely stay here. The property is beautiful and well cared for, and the staff were polite and helpful. Service was excellent, and the tasty, homely meals are a must try.
