The Cool Huts Guest House

Cool Huts is in Mandrem, less than 20 kms from Mapusa, and thankfully away from the usual tourist crowds. It felt like a breath of fresh air. The property is almost on the beach, about a hundred metres from the water, with some nice shacks and a restaurant nearby. Owner Mr. Vineet and his family stay on site and personally look after guest needs, with help from a small, polite, and helpful team.

An amazing family runs this place. This was my first trip with my child, and they helped with everything we needed, from preparing food for the baby to arranging a cab. The hotel is super close to the beach. We just loved it.

My family’s mood was ruined by this stay. We paid 2.5k+ a day and still got a dirty room, with a filthy bathroom full of cockroaches. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly before we arrived. I stayed at Coolhuts on 01/03/2025 after trusting the glowing online reviews, but the place didn’t match what they promised. The pictures and ratings feel misleading, and I can’t help wondering if some positive reviews come from staff or people connected to them. There are better places in Goa for the same price or less. I stayed at dunes, where the hospitality was top notch and the food was good. If you care about hygiene and an honest experience, don’t book here. I hope others avoid wasting their money and spoiling their vacation.

The owner and staff were warm, kind, and always ready to help, which made the stay especially memorable. The property was spotless and clearly well cared for. I also really enjoyed the food, it was fresh, flavorful, and excellent quality. A comfortable, satisfying stay, and I’d happily recommend it.
