White Sand

The attached restaurant has brilliant food and service, and a chilled out vibe I really like. The hotel itself is nice and clean, the air conditioning works, and the staff are friendly and genuinely helpful.

The people who run White Sand are the best. I stayed almost a month, and they treated me like a sister or daughter, with so much kindness and respect. Whenever I needed a hand, they were there. As a woman travelling solo, I’ve never felt so safe or lovingly looked after. I cried when I left because I’d grown so attached to this lovely community of hardworking people. Their funny jokes and contagious irony made me smile every day. The location is one of the best parts of Mandrem Beach, close to everything from the spa and surf school to the taxi stop and supermarket. There’s a private passage to the beach, plus private scooter parking. The restaurant next door is very, very, very good and has a lovely atmosphere. My room was very clean, and everything worked well, including the hot water, lights, fan, and AC. Many rooms have a breathtaking sea view, and mine was mind blowing. I loved the bed and my balcony facing the ocean. If you want a comforting, relaxing, loving family atmosphere and comfy beds by Mandrem Beach, this is the place for you. I can’t wait to see them again.

White Sand is a really awesome holiday destination in Goa, and good value for money. It feels homely, with a romantic beach and friendly people there.
