The house is tucked into Alibaug’s greenery, with birdsong all around and a lovely, quiet view of the hills at the back. It’s about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. The final five minutes are on a rough, canopied road, which adds to the secluded feel. There’s a large driveway and porch leading to a verandah with a central garden and seating. Four ground-floor bedrooms sit around the garden; the master has a balcony, a large bathroom, and a bathtub. The neat kitchen and open dining area have a separate bathroom. Upstairs, there’s a living room, indoor dining, and outdoor seating beside the pool overlooking the central yard. Out back is a huge stretch of greenery, with a gym and jacuzzi in a separate hut. A small treehouse overlooks the backyard, with seating and a swing by the entrance. The staff were warm and helpful, and the chef made some amazing meals. The house was well maintained, with a working TV and Netflix, plus games and books. Masseuse services are available for an extra cost. I’d love to come back.
