The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices, and the location made it easy to get to local attractions and restaurants. At Avarta Resort, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby each night, and it had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. From arrival to checkout, the staff went out of their way to make things comfortable and enjoyable. I had an amazing time and highly recommend Anora for a luxurious, comfortable stay. Can't wait to visit again!
The resort is far from town, so I'd avoid staying here if you want to visit the city and don't have a car. It's also in TN, which means you can't buy liquor in Pondi and bring it across the state border. We stayed two nights as a group of four. The rooms were good, but the room service was 3rd Class. There was a lizard in our room, and there was no kettle or internet. We had to call just to get things sorted, and when we requested room cleaning the next morning, it still hadn't been done by the time we returned at 10.30 in the night. The restaurant food was really poor, and we had to ask several times for each item. They don't know how to manage a resort, and I wouldn't want to come back.
We stayed two nights with family in three single bed room villas. The villas themselves are nicely done, and I had no complaints about them. The letdown was the service. We had to ring the front office for everything, starting with a non-working drawing room AC just after check-in. There was no fridge, kettle, towels, doormat, or dustbin. Management should check these basics before letting guests in. Coffee took an hour to arrive, and breakfast the next morning was chaotic. The restaurant staff didn't seem to know how to handle guests. We had to beg for dosas at the live counter, there weren't any plates, and people waited by the kitchen entrance to get what they wanted. The infrastructure is good, but they need to manage the place better and look after guests. Hopefully they'll read this and put things in order.
The pool and other amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and professional. We had plenty of delicious dining options, especially the seafood, and the accommodations were spacious and well-appointed, with a very comfortable bed. The resort's near the beach, with lovely landscape views and a relaxing feel. One of my best vacations. I'd happily recommend Avarta beach resort for a luxurious, relaxing trip.
The villas are good, and the swimming pool was a highlight, with no Pool Codes. There's plenty of parking, and the atmosphere is pleasant, with fresh air for walkers and kids. But after four days, I came away feeling the maintenance company may have settled for less than it should have, perhaps because earlier guests gave high ratings. The food was tasteless with limited choices, and the service and hospitality were poor. What they charged didn't match the hospitality at all. On public holidays breakfast wasn't sufficient, apparently because the front reception and restaurant weren't coordinating. During our three days, there was no housekeeping, so we had to go to the front office for essentials like water and coffee. It's fine for a one day visit, but I wouldn't recommend a long stay.
