Beach Bubbles - Auroville Beach Resort

The photos online make this place look good, but inside it was awful. The bathrooms were in terrible condition, with some missing doors and others without latches. There were millipedes and other insects in the bed. The manager wasn’t around, so we had to call him on his cell phone. This was one of the worst hotel experiences in the area. Better off spending the night in your vehicle.

We stayed August 13-15 and had a miserable time. For just two rooms over two nights, they charged ₹17,353 because it was peak holiday season. The rooms weren’t clean and were badly maintained. There wasn’t even water in the room, so we had to buy a bottle. The pool was very dirty and murky, with lots of bugs floating in it. They haven’t bothered with upkeep.

We paid 2.5k for a room for five people, which felt like good value, and the room was properly maintained. Rates vary by season. The place and view are very good, and there’s a mini pool, though it could be maintained much better. The staff are good, but could improve.

The location is the one redeeming part, though it’s secluded beside a dirty beach. Inside, the bedsheets were filthy, the bathrooms unhygienic, and the pool dirty. There’s no restaurant, and despite being described as AC rooms, they only have air coolers. At night, bugs and insects are everywhere. One of the worst places I’ve stayed.
