Inn Pondiville Forest Retreat

The roads to the place were a total disaster, and we had to take a 25 minute detour just to reach the main road. Pathetic way to start our new year indeed! We visited on January 1st noon at 1pm sharp. My mother in law, husband, and son were with me. We had a reservation in Rakesh's name, but cancelled it because of the poor amenities and maintenance. The swimming pool was yellow and dirty, and the exteriors were in poor condition. When we wanted to look at the rooms before paying to stay there with our respective families, the front office attendant, probably the owner himself, wouldn't let staff show them, saying they were still confused about the stay. The attendant was rude, very rude. I wonder how they got so many good reviews in Google. I've decided not to trust Google paid reviews again. Edited to add: here you go!

The place is a little away from the main area, but I still liked it. It's nicely located and well looked after, and the rooms were clean and set up nicely.

I felt really unsafe here. There were no staff at the entrance or anywhere on the property when I arrived, and at night there were no lights. Stray dogs were all around and one scratched my leg with its teeth. My pants were the only reason it wasn't worse. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Safety seems completely absent, and the property was useless to me.

The locals who have been with the resort for years provided excellent service. The food, made to order, was delicious and felt homemade. Amazing place. Best wishes to Praveena and Sudeep, Venu Gopal Chinta Former Civil Servant Hyderabad.
