Muthu guest house

La Muthu Beach Resort caused us a lot of stress while travelling. I had a confirmed booking through Agoda and told them clearly I'd arrive after 10:00 PM, but the receptionist, who was irresponsible and arrogant, said they would give the room to someone else. What’s the point of confirming a booking if they won't honor it? The experience felt like cheating and was unprofessional and unacceptable. There was no respect for customers or accountability, and the staff attitude was extremely bad. I'm attaching proof of my booking for reference. Don't waste your money or time, avoid La Muthu Beach Resort.

This might work for a single room, but it isn't good for groups. The room was very dirty, and the balcony area was poor and cramped. The hotel didn't provide water. The pool was operating, but the chlorine level seemed very high and harmful. Don't go there, you may regret it.

The online pictures are far from what we found, and the hygiene was very bad. Beds weren't good, the TV didn't work and they hadn't mentioned that beforehand. Staff were no help, and after taking payment they were negligent. We had to ask many times for blankets.

The room service person still insisted on a minimum ₹100 tip, even after everything else. The whole experience was disappointing, with very poor service, and I wouldn't recommend it. The room was dusty, the beds weren't clean, and bedsheets weren't provided at first. We had to ask repeatedly, then collect them ourselves. The bathroom was dirty, water was backing up inside, and the balcony grills seemed unsafe. The swimming pool wasn't properly maintained and had too much chlorine. Even one star feels high.
