The food was a highlight. Breakfast came with the stay, tasted fresh, and seemed carefully prepared. The chef took real pride in South Indian food and culture, and introduced my American partner to several authentic dishes. The staff were kind, responsive, and attentive without hovering, which made us feel looked after. From arrival, the welcome was warm and sincere. The rooms and courtyard are calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a boutique feel that made it easy to slow down and relax. Sengal Boutique Hotel has a peaceful, personal feel. We left refreshed and happy, wishing we could have stayed another day. Highly recommended.

The building has an unusual brick design, the room was spacious, and the price was reasonable. The stay was average, though. We found hair in our food on the first day, and the next day our AC had a problem. We moved from a room that was fine into another one that wasn't great.

We got sick during the trip, and the uncle cooking meals went out of his way to make turmeric tea and other recipes to help us feel better. Ahmed and the rest of the staff helped us throughout. Hospitality was 10/10, definitely recommended.

The plants around the property were the most beautiful I've seen, and some are for sale too. I stayed one night with my parents for the Auroville half marathon event. Mr.Ahmed, the manager on the grounds, was pleasant and kind throughout. My parents enjoyed the home style breakfast, dinner, and snacks. We'd like to come back for longer, and I highly recommend it.

Once I arrived, I felt relieved. The setting outside has a simple village atmosphere, but this small property feels like a sanctuary. It's close to Auroville, beautifully maintained, and the architecture really impressed me. Jyothi Prakash, the in-house chef, served his food with a lot of love, and both he and the manager Abdul were resourceful and kind. I'd like to return.
