Bastora House

Set along winding roads among dense greenery and magnificent palms, Bastora House has a lovely, quaint feel. It’s an old Portuguese home that’s been beautifully restored and renovated, with additional rooms that blend well with the original building. My room was large and spacious, and the staff were courteous and enthusiastic. It was a lovely holiday I won’t forget, and unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed in Goa.

The flowers, especially the exotic ones, were the highlight for me and made the place feel so charming. I had an amazing, relaxing getaway. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were very courteous.

The villa has two sections, a new one and a 125-year-old Portuguese house with two rooms, and it’s really pretty. The staff were warm, helpful, and cordial. We did have a motor running noisily through the night and a broken room lock, but the lock was fixed as soon as we asked. They handled both complaints efficiently. It’s a bit far from the places you might go to eat or party, but otherwise I’d highly recommend it. I also left a bracelet there, and they found it and couriered it back to me. 🥰

The rooms had fungus and weren’t clean. There were no towels in the room, and we had to ask for them two or three times. Some rooms wouldn’t close, and the lockers didn’t work. Service was pathetic, and they didn’t seem to care about customers. The staff didn’t know how to use the kitchen appliances. The team made the chili cheese toast in the photo. We’d asked for parathas to take on our morning flight, but they weren’t made. When we asked, all they did was apologize. Don’t stay at isprava.
