Boshan Hotels

We changed rooms three times in two days and had a very bad experience at Boshan. I paid Rs.7000 for three people for two days in the off season, while other hotels were only Rs.1800/-. After I paid cash, they put us in room 109 in the old building. Water dripped from the AC all night, the mirror was very dirty, and there seemed to be a short circuit in the fan connection. I asked for another room, but he went on holiday without giving us one. The next day I asked again, and a girl moved us to room no 604 in the new building. The AC there wasn’t working. I complained to reception, but she ignored my call. When I called again an hour later, she said it was working. I asked her to come check, and the Manager came and said the AC was in night mode. We were moved again to room no.602, where the kettle didn’t work. We’ll never visit again.

I left my wallet in the room after checking out the next day, following a one-night stay at Boshan hotel. When I called the front desk, they found it within minutes and asked me to collect it there. I appreciated the staff’s honesty. The room itself was excellent.

I only stayed for an hour to wash and change before going to my job, and the hotel is conveniently close to the bus stand. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on it. The rooms are quite old, but the service is on par for a budget hotel.

The restaurant is open 24/7, which is unusual in Goa, and breakfast deserves a special mention. It’s an unlimited buffet with lots of choices, and the menu changes every day across the seven days, with a chart showing the weekly lineup. Food quality is excellent, including authentic Goan dishes and the signature GOAN FISH THALI for fish lovers, as well as pure veg. and non-veg dishes. The leisure Hotel is close to Mapusa main Bus Stand and the main Market. My room was spacious and clean, with good quality toiletaries, a very high standard mattress and linens, and friendly staff who responded promptly. I loved my stay.
