Casa Brilhante 4BR Private Pool Villa nr Assagao

We’d booked the villa well in advance, but Vivanta Stays cancelled our reservation just 12 hours before check-in and gave us no alternative accommodation. They offered no real help finding another villa despite the short notice, just refunded the money and left us stranded. Don’t book through them, it’s a scam.

The team made this feel worth every penny. The host and villa are both lovely, and the staff were kind, humble, and honest. We had plenty of privacy around the pool, and they respected our space while happily adjusting to what we needed. Already thinking about another trip with them 😎

The villa is a great base for getting around, about a 5-minute drive to Assagao and 12 minutes to Anjuna and Vagator. We loved the big bedrooms, comfortable living room, and the clean private pool just outside it. The house is spacious and feels luxurious, and the people handling reservations and cleaning were really lovely. Their cleaning team was helpful too. Great choice for a family or group of friends staying in North Goa. Cheers 🥂

Three days before our arrival, our booking was cancelled. They said heavy rain had caused water damage, though we didn’t encounter rain once we reached North Goa. They offered a different 3 bhk with an extra mattress, even though we needed a 4bhk for 8 adults and 3 kids, including 2 pregnant women. Then they said we could take another 3bhk for an extra 25k per night, at our expense, despite the problem being on their side. It felt like they were trying to make extra money from us. They also sent screenshots of internal conversations suggesting the villa was closed for regular maintenance, so it shouldn’t have been taking bookings. Having this happen on the eve of our flight caused a lot of avoidable stress, and the way they handled it felt very unprofessional. We’ll avoid any property by overwater villas in future.
