Hotel Point View

The pool was dirty, and the service was the worst part of our stay. When we reported the broken AC and asked for a repair, nobody checked it for three to four hours. We waited late at night for an electrician, but it still wasn't fixed. At checkout, when we brought it up again, the manager rudely said, "You are not any special person which we should provide you the answers." The AC room was also charged at a much higher price than the hotel booking apps showed, and they denied that rate and charged us more. The room had been advertised as air conditioned, but the AC didn't work. We visited Matheran in summer, and after researching hotels for a long time, we ended up in a room hotter than it was outside. The fridge didn't work either, and the TV would turn on by itself. This was the worst experience we've had at any hotel on our travels.

The recently renovated rooms were comfortable, modern, and well maintained, and the service was prompt. Food was excellent too, especially the chicken tandoori and chicken rara. The hotel is beside Khandala Point, just past the market, so shops are close by while the setting stays peaceful and quiet. A nice place to stay, highly recommended.

For a short visit, the convenient location worked well, with lots of places to eat and shop nearby. The staff were polite, though service sometimes took a while. Our room was clean and comfortable, but pretty basic. It was an okay stay, though I wouldn't choose it again at this price.

Room service was fine: the food arrived, and someone checked whether we needed hot water early in the morning. The food itself was decent, which is the only reason I'm giving one star. Hygiene in the room was awful. Everything was wet because of the weather, and the mattress smelled like a wet dead body. I had to buy an air pocket for the room to make it smell less bad. It was just one night, so I didn't feel like upgrading. Don't book just because the photos look good. Make sure it's worth your money. Honestly, this place isn't.
