The location is good and the place is kept neat, but there’s a mosquito problem and it should be cleaned daily. The manager was rather impolite in his replies, and we were hurriedly asked to vacate, which felt rude and unacceptable. The pricing is definitely on the high side.

The host was easy to reach and really welcoming, and kept the house clean and in good shape. It’s right beside mayiranadhar temple. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The rooms and washrooms were spotless, and the place was kept in great condition. AC, heater, washing machine, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, and induction stove all worked well. There’s parking just outside, and Swiggy and Zomato deliver, with good dining options nearby. It also feels more private and comfortable than a typical lodge. The terrace views were stunning, and the location is hard to beat, right next to the Mayuranathar temple. I stayed at JP Nivas Guest House while visiting Mayiladuthurai and Kumbakonam, and the convenient location made a big difference. I was very happy with my stay and highly recommend it for the comfort and facilities.

The caretaker was a huge help, always just a phone call away and bringing us hot coffee in a flask morning and evening. The place is very close to the mayavaram periya kovil, and waking up to the temple songs and birds was lovely. We miss those sounds in the city. I stayed with my in-laws and our 10-month-old. It was very comfortable and convenient, with two beds and two bathrooms, well-serviced ACs, plus a kitchen with a mini fridge and some basic utensils. The only drawback is the stairs, which could be difficult for older people. They weren’t a problem for me and my husband. A great stay overall.
