OYO 16547 Hotel Ganga

The room was just about okay for one person, and I wouldn’t choose it for a couple or family. The receptionist was arrogant and had no manners when speaking to me. I was due to leave at 12, and there were no bookings after my checkout, but he insisted the checkout time was 11 a.m. I asked about it and was told I’d have to pay extra to leave later. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels around India, and this was my first experience like that. While I was in the room, he also switched off the AC and fan at the main MCB door to save electricity. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. Please avoid it.

We only rented the terrace setup, so I can’t speak to the food or service. We arranged the decoration, food, and DJ/host ourselves. The rooftop party terrace at Ganga Plaza is well situated in Meerut’s commercial hub and is laid out well for gatherings of up to 150 guests. Getting in is a bit cramped because of encroachments around the main lift lobby on the ground floor.

The staff were good, but the place was dirty and hard to spot from the road. It’s a cheap hotel and takes cash only. I’d stay here only in an emergency when there’s no other option.

The staff were good and room service was the best part. But the internet didn’t work, and the room light was out. The bathroom tap and geyser switch were jammed, and the reception desk employee was very rude. Rooms 14 and 15 smelled because of the Flex shop on the first floor. There was no food available, and tea cost 40₹.
