Kingdom Hotel

It was just okay, and the rating reflects that the accommodation wasn't perfect for a stay. Service needed more attention, and staff grooming and room cleanliness were also big concerns. The laundry needs to change.

We had a wonderful evening at The Kingdom Hotel. The food was exquisite, with every dish balancing flavor and elegance just right. The staff were polite, knowledgeable, genuinely caring, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time.

I rarely leave a negative review because I feel for the owners and staff, but I need to share this. The room and cleanliness were like a low-cost lounge, while the price was closer to a 3-4 star hotel. I've stayed all over India, from one-star lounges to five-star hotels, and this was disappointing. The housekeeping staff were warm and friendly, and they did their best to help when I asked for fresh linen and a new kettle. I was extremely happy with them, but twice as disappointed with the room. The linen was pale and dirty, the floor was dingy, and the rooms looked a hundred years old. I asked to switch rooms, but they were all the same. The front desk was unwelcoming, and it didn't feel like a three-star hotel. There were no luggage trolleys, so female staff had to carry all the bags on their shoulders. I'm all for gender equality, but they should have trolleys for heavy luggage.

The service was excellent throughout, and the staff were caring, giving extra attention to my husband, who uses a wheelchair. They went the extra mile to make sure his needs were met, and the bar area has a unique touch for each guest. The food was awesome and tasty. The rooms were neat and clean, with basic amenities including hot running water, air conditioning, and toiletries. A nice spot for a night or two.
