MGR Hotel Moradabad

The food was a little above average, and I loved visiting. The setting felt really soothing, with a very good ambience and view. The location was 10/10.

We'd arranged a birthday dinner for 18-20 family members, including kids, and told the hotel well ahead of time. Somehow, we still arrived to find no plates, cutlery, or table setup. Everyone had to wait while things were put together at the last minute, after we chased staff repeatedly. Even basic service was a struggle. We had to ask several times for drinking water, soup came with no bread or sides and no explanation, and guests were left serving themselves because staff weren't serving the food. Bread and rice took far too long to come out again, leaving people waiting in the middle of dinner. Staff behavior made it worse. Servers were hard to find or seemed unwilling to help, and nobody took charge. There was no visible supervisor, no apology, and no sense of hospitality or accountability. We, the hosts, ended up managing basic service for our own guests. What should have been a happy family evening turned into a chaotic, self-managed meal. We expected decent hospitality and got disorganized staff and poor service instead. I hope management looks into this and improves service and staff training.

The building's architecture gives it a five-star look, but the inside is far below that. The room wasn't standard.

The location is great and the surroundings are clean, but the service isn't good.
