Casablanca is a lovely hidden spot for anyone wanting to slow down, enjoy nature, and spend time talking. The food is delicious, thoughtfully prepared with subtle flavours. A must try if you're not in a rush.

We were charged for three water bottles we were never given, and the manager/owner turned the mix-up into a rude, confrontational hassle. The staff were unhelpful and arrogant, and the facilities we'd been promised weren't there. From arrival, the service was poor, and our room was filthy, like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. One of the worst stays I've had. I'd tell people to look elsewhere and save themselves the stress.

The balcony mainly looks out onto the garden, so there isn't much of a view. From the outside, you might have doubts, but once inside I felt we'd made the right choice. The room was lovely, tidy, and had a much-needed refrigerator. The owners are warm and welcoming, and it's easy on the wallet. This is one of those places that really feels like a resort.

We had a really enjoyable three-night stay, and I'd come back. The mattress was a little wet, though, and there wasn't another room available. It has a homely feel, unlike the nearby resorts, with pleasant seating indoors and a small outdoor area. The open kitchen was well kept, and we could watch the chefs at work. We could order the dishes we wanted, which staff sourced and made to order. The Russian couple who run the hotel live there with their family, and there are many Russian dishes, all beautifully prepared. There are lots of Russians staying in the area, so Russian signs are common. The hotel is only about 200 m from Morjim beach, which is pleasant, has lots of shallow water, and is quieter than Anjuna beach. It's a bit tricky to find: take the dirt track beside Sam's Pub N Bistro, or drive to Morjim beach and use the track opposite the beach entrance. I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Morjim.

We were charged for dishes we wouldn't eat because they arrived undercooked and we refused them. The food took ages to come, and when it did, it was raw. I also saw staff drinking alcohol during their shift. Terrible restaurant, be careful.
