We had a really pleasant stay, and Ajith and his parents made us feel at home. There’s a pool and bicycles available if you need them, and the village is lovely for relaxing or exploring the area. Ajith also knows the region well and gave us helpful suggestions about what to see. We’d recommend the place to anyone visiting nearby. A++ :)

We came all the way from Bhutan and had a great time at this homestay. The setting was quiet and peaceful, the local fruit was lovely, and the food tasted authentic and fresh. The kids especially enjoyed the pool. Ajith and his parent looked after us well and provided excellent service. We’d like to make another trip before long.

We felt right at home here. Ajith and his family were wonderful hosts, and he helped us plan our visits with useful local information. He also arranged a full day of boating for us. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and attentive to what we needed. I’d highly recommend this homestay to anyone traveling to Kottayam with family.

The pool was spotless and amazingly clear, and we also had a great time kayaking and canoeing. Kuttickattil home stay is very clean, with a view across the backwater river. It’s about 20 minutes from Kottayam town, so I’d recommend it to visitors exploring Kottayam or the kumarakom backwaters.

There’s a pleasant little outdoor spot to sit and enjoy nature, and the nearby paths are lovely for walks in the morning or evening. The owner was approachable, the price was fair, and the facilities were adequate. Kayaking and a country boat ride are available for an extra charge, and it’s a nice option for a rural Kerala experience. Still, the stay felt a bit restrictive. The rooms are smaller than at similar places, and the fixed breakfast sometimes wasn’t enough. Transport is scarce, with only a few buses and rickshaws, so you really need your own vehicle. It would have helped if they provided bicycles or a scooter. A good place, though not the best, and some facilities could be better.
