OYO 12026 Planter's Villa

Sunny was a really nice, helpful host who accommodated our needs and did a lot to organize our transport. The building was clean, nice, and functional, and the spice themed rooms were a lovely touch. We stayed in the ginger room. It was a pretty, quiet location, with a bus stop nearby and about half an hour away from munnar town, around 20 km. We heard the walking tour offered at planters wasn’t very good, and the complimentary breakfast wasn’t good either. The downstairs rooms near the communal area can get rather loud. Even so, we really enjoyed our stay, felt at home, and found the price very reasonable.

The staff were courteous and did their best to help us, even though we didn’t share a language. There’s a lovely garden, and a natural waterfall on the hotel grounds adds to the scenery. A really beautiful place, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting or hoping to visit Munnar.

One thing to know: this place is about 30 minutes before the final bus stop, so it isn’t actually in Munnar, which worked out well for me. I had my best time in India here. It’s a peaceful spot in the jungle, great for a proper break, with very clean rooms, helpful staff, and a great restaurant.

It’s a good spot to unwind, maybe with a book by the little stream in the garden. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Just keep in mind that it’s around 14 km from Munnar town, so getting to the well-known viewpoints and other sights is a bit of a trek. A lovely place to get away from the city noise.
