The TV didn't work, there was no Wi-Fi, and the staff didn't seem properly trained. The blanket and bedsheets in our room at smm cottage were dirty. When we asked for them to be changed, the staff member replaced only the bedsheet cover. He rudely said he'd change the blanket later when we asked about it. I'd suggest this place for bachelors, not families.

I loved our stay at smm cottage. The staff, Siva and Rajeev, were very helpful, and the view was excellent. A must-visit in Munnar.

We left very upset and won't recommend this place, especially for families. We were there with our tired child in our arms. The owner said rooms were available, so we checked one and confirmed the booking at the quoted 1200/-. When it came time to pay, he asked for 1400/-. He said he couldn't give us the room for the earlier rate, and was rude, speaking loudly and not willing to listen. We left.

The rooms are on the small side, but they're clean, and there's hot water all day. The location is really convenient, close enough to walk to local eateries while still being quiet. We needed parking and a washroom for the driver, and both were available. The owner was very cooperative. I'd recommend it as a budget option.

It's a pleasant area, with well-maintained rooms, hot water around the clock, and good staff. The price and room are great, and it's suitable for families. You can walk to the KSRTC Depo and hotels. I've been to Munnar three times and stayed at this cottage every time. I'll choose it again next time.
