The setting near Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary is beautiful and peaceful. Aranya Phansad Resort was neat and clean, had the basic amenities for a short stay, and the staff were polite, helpful, and supportive. I appreciated how responsive they were during a difficult moment. But the visit became traumatic because of serious safety issues, especially for children and older guests. The dining area beside the pool is raised and has no proper protective railings, and the gazebo in the pond area also lacks adequate railings. The cottages sit about 10 feet above ground and can only be reached by stairs; the stair design and railings did not feel sturdy enough. Our 3-year-old son was coming down the cottage stairs when he grabbed a bamboo railing that looked old and weak. It broke immediately. He fell down the stairs and hit a flower pot, suffering serious head and shoulder injuries with visible blood loss. As parents, it was terrifying. Staff quickly helped us get to a nearby clinic, and we appreciate that. Still, seeing our child hurt because of what felt like preventable infrastructure negligence was an awful experience no parent should have to face. I’m writing from genuine concern, not anger. The resort has potential because of its location, but it needs urgent work on structural safety, strong railings, child-safe design, and regular maintenance checks. I’d advise families with young children or elderly members to be cautious until these issues are addressed. I sincerely hope the owners take this seriously and make immediate safety upgrades so others don’t go through something similar. Safety shouldn’t be sacrificed for looks.
