Being an avid birder, I was delighted to spot many species on and around the property. I stayed at this beautiful B&B for 10 days, and leaving was hard after such a wonderful experience. Gitanjali has tranquility, gardens, rooms, and breakfast that are all exceptional, and above all, lovely hosts. All in all, it's a world-class gem!

We've returned to Geetanjali Homestay for a third stay. It's a peaceful retreat in the lap of Chamundi Hills, a little away from the main city but still well connected. The estate is calm, a lovely setting for thinking, writing, meditating, or simply unwinding. I especially enjoyed the spacious living area, where you can sit with coffee and watch the plants, birds, frogs, and other small creatures go about their day. On lucky days, Mysuru rain drums softly outside, which feels poetic. The friendly dogs and playful cats add to the homely feel, and watching the kittens on a lazy afternoon is a quiet joy. Just outside, you can take a short stroll and even interact with local cows and calves. Those small moments reconnect you with simple living. The host is gracious, refined, and attentive to every guest's needs. Her elegant taste shows in the details, and the hospitality feels refreshingly personal compared with homestays where it can feel mechanical. This is a good fit for people who appreciate subtlety, peace, and authenticity. Breakfast is a delight: soft, well-fermented idlis that melt in your mouth, great if you value healthy probiotics, and crisp dosa made with either rice or millet. If you want some time away from the city's rush, surrounded by nature's rhythm, this is a wonderful choice.

During Dushera, the city was chaotic, but Gitanjali Homestay was a calm refuge. It's tucked away from the city noise, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by greenery that puts you at ease. My friend and I stayed there while visiting Mysore for the festival. The host and caretaker made the place special. They were warm, welcoming, attentive without intruding, and ready with helpful suggestions for getting around Mysore. Our spacious, clean rooms were thoughtfully designed and balanced comfort with charm. Breakfast was scrumptious and filling. Special shout-out to Pegah and Umar, the most excellent dogs who always greeted us politely, and to the hammock, where I had some very fine naps. For a visit to Mysore, especially during the busy festival season, I can't recommend Gitanjali Homestay enough. It's a lovely mix of comfort, hospitality, and peace.

A distinctive, peaceful place, with a well-kept garden and a verandah where you can sit and relax. The rooms are spacious, the staff very friendly, and breakfast is fresh and home-cooked. It's environmentally friendly too, with coffee from their own plantation and juice made from fruit in their garden. The hospitality came from the heart and went far beyond what we expected. We'd love to visit again!

We loved how peaceful it felt, with greenery all around the property. The rooms were very well maintained and made for a comfortable stay, and the hosts were the best, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing and a perfect start to the day. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mysore.
