The Green Hotel Palace

Chef Finger Majec really made the food, especially the tandoor barbecue, mutton chops, and chicken platter. The bar has plenty of choices too. Surrounded by lush greenery, the place feels more like a peaceful nature retreat than a restaurant, and that setting makes it easy to unwind. Great for a relaxed evening, a family get-together, or a quiet dinner. Definitely a place I’d recommend.

For a room costing more than 7k a day, this was a terrible experience. We arrived at 5 pm, even though check-in was meant to be at 1 pm, and still had to wait another 40 minutes because our room wasn’t ready. The receptionist was no help and just told us to “understand.” I said we should pay only 75% of the rent if we were getting only that much time, and she offered just 10%. It wasn’t really about the money, it was about them showing no care for their mistake, so we turned down what they offered. The old room and lack of AC were acceptable, but the soundproofing was practically nonexistent. It felt like living in a 3-4bhk, and the walls were dirty. Definitely not worth 7k.

I've been here four times and I love the place. The only issue is the food, especially the complimentary breakfast. There are very few choices, and honestly, it’s tasteless. After paying 4k, I expect better service. Please change the breakfast cook or train them. Everything else is fine.

The service and ambience are both great, but the food is what makes this lawn restaurant stand out for me. Other places may have a nice atmosphere, but this is the tastiest food I’ve had in Mysore. We ordered familiar dishes we get elsewhere, including Corn Chilli Butter, paneer starters, Butter Garlic Prawns, Kalmi Kabab, and Biryani Rice. The difference in taste was clear, and the Chicken Biryani was the best I’ve had. I’d love to come back and try some other dishes.
