Hotel Orchid Resort

We went for lunch and had a great time. Mr Vijay Dogra was efficient and polite, and the service was par excellence. The range and taste of the dishes were superb. We tried beer, chat, fish, fried rice, paneer tikka, fried icecream, and moong dal halwa. The pickle tasting was the best part, especially the bamboo pickle.

The breakfast buffet had a huge range of options, and the food was truly delicious. Chef Amit prepared some lovely dishes. Restaurant Manager Mr. Vijay Dogra was always around and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. At the front desk, Vishal and Nikhil were supportive too. I had a wonderful stay at the Justa Hotel Palampur. Highly recommend it, and I look forward to visiting again. :)

The room smelled foul the whole time, and it was poorly maintained, with curtain rods coming off the walls. Even though we'd discussed and paid for a different room category, we were given a lower one. We made a last-minute booking at a reasonable price, but the service was extremely disappointing. The stay didn't match what we were led to expect at booking. We wanted basic cleanliness, proper upkeep, and transparency about the room allocation, but the hotel failed on all counts. One of our worst experiences, and I wouldn't recommend this property.

Breakfast was such a treat, fresh and delicious, especially with those mountain views to enjoy in the morning. The staff were kind and helpful, and everything ran smoothly, so the stay felt easy and comfortable. The hotel sits among the mountains with peaceful scenery and fresh air, a lovely break from everyday noise. Even with the remote setting, getting what we needed was convenient.
