We're holding a wedding here, and the property has been a terrible choice. It doesn't seem capable of hosting a wedding. The rooms aren't equipped, even the WC doesn't work properly, and there are no carpets on the floors. Food kept running short and there wasn't enough quantity. The staff have an attitude and speak in a bad tone. A very bad experience, and I wouldn't host a wedding here.

The homemade food was delicious and gave the stay a personal feel. We also enjoyed the clean, refreshing swimming pool. Matoshree is surrounded by lush tea gardens with lovely views, and the peaceful setting is great for walks in any direction. The tea factory is just a two-minute walk away, which is handy for tea lovers, while Palampur market is about a 12-minute drive. It was a wonderful, relaxing visit, and I'd recommend Matoshree Property for a peaceful getaway.

The food is basic and takes a bit of extra coordination with the staff. They didn't go out of their way to make things especially comfortable, and that was our one glitch. Still, the setting is breathtaking, with Himalayan tea estate adjoining the property and a tea tasting tour at the factory within walking distance. Evening strolls around the property are lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, with basic amenities. There's a huge pool and a good-sized outdoor garden, and it could easily host 12-15 people. The property sits in the middle of tea estates, with greenery all around and birdsong in the morning.

The place is secluded, which makes it a nice choice for an offbeat vacation or workation. It's set among beautiful tea gardens, and the pool is a good spot to unwind. The staff were courteous and professional, and the food was good.
