Hotel Rising Sun

Breakfast had plenty of choices, which I didn’t expect in a place like Itanagar, and the price was excellent for what you get. The hotel is well maintained, with large rooms and clean sheets and towels. There were also loads of toiletries in the bathroom.

I requested a bottle of water at 7 PM, but it didn’t arrive until 8 the next morning. They said the staff were asleep and couldn’t serve guests at night. If you stay here, bring your own food, water, towel, soap, toothbrush, and the rest. The service was awful.

I’d rated this place four stars about four years ago, but after my recent stay I’ve changed my rating. The rooms need renovation soon, and the staff need to be trained again in hospitality and professionalism. Service has deteriorated a lot, while the food quality and breakfast selection have both declined.

The waiter was a gentleman, and the manager and staff handled my late-night arrival impressively. Service was very good. I also liked the cozy atmosphere and attractive menu, and the food was delicious with a tangy flavor. The restaurant had a great feel to it. Big thumbs up, I’ll try it again next time I’m there.
