Mr. Ansari gave us all the information we needed when we booked, which made planning our stay, travel, and safaris much easier. During the visit, Mr. Rajesh and the team made sure we were comfortable and had meals on time, even when we left early for a safari or our next destination. The food was tasty, with plenty of dishes followed by lovely sweets. Each of the six elevated wooden cottages has a sleeping area, changing area, and bathroom, plus hot water, a heater, and an air conditioner. There’s also a little balcony or sitting area with relaxing chairs, where you can take in the forest. Birds gather around the resort in the evenings, and their sounds are so calming. The cottages are thoughtfully laid out with space between them for privacy, and the whole property is beautifully designed and maintained. Camp Riverwild Resort is right beside the River Kosi, around 10 minutes from Dhikala Zone’s Dhangari Gate. We had a wonderful stay.

Mr. Ansari and Mr. Rajesh were courteous and attentive, and their warm hospitality made the stay feel personal. The team also prepared fresh, delicious food and kindly accommodated our custom requests. Our spacious, clean cottages had all the necessary amenities, and the property was very well maintained. It’s a scenic, peaceful place beside the river, tucked away from crowds and noise, and suited to families or couples looking to unwind. One thing that could be improved is the last stretch of access road, about 900 meters from the highway. It’s rough and has a steep slope, which may be challenging for low-clearance vehicles or older guests. A shared effort among the nearby properties that use the same path could improve it. Still, we had a lovely, relaxing getaway and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nature retreat.

The big letdown was the noise from a nearby resort. Kabeela Resort, one of the immediate neighbors, played extremely loud Bollywood music in the evenings, which broke the quiet and affected our stay. With several new resorts opening nearby, that peaceful atmosphere could be harder to find, so this may not suit anyone seeking real serenity unless the noise is addressed. We’d picked this quiet resort about 500 meters off Mohan main road to get away from it all. At first, it delivered: the river is barely 50 meters away, and the setting feels immersed in nature. There may be chances to spot elephants or deer, hear sambhar calls, and, if lucky, see a tiger, given how close it is to Mohan Gate. The comfortable stay and decent food were good, and the owner clearly cares about nature and has kept the property in harmony with its surroundings. Hammocks and swings were nice touches for unwinding. For a while, it was just what we’d hoped for, but the evening noise spoiled that.

The location at Camp Riverwild is peaceful and scenic, a refreshing break from city life. Our clean, comfortable accommodation was very well maintained, and the food was delicious throughout, full of flavor and thoughtfully prepared. It felt like eating at home, only better. The whole team was professional, courteous, and warm, always ready to help make us comfortable. We had a truly wonderful stay. Thanks for the hospitality, we hope to visit again and will recommend Camp Riverwild to friends and family.

The food was incredible, and as travelers from West Bengal who take cooking seriously, that’s praise we mean. The staff served us with so much care and warmth. We’ve stayed in many places in India and abroad, but this resort felt unusually special. We spent two days here with our 16-month-old, and the experience was spectacular. Camp River Wild sits right beside the Kosi River. It may seem offbeat and away from the noise at first, but those few days could be some of the best of your life. I noticed there weren’t many recent reviews, so I wanted to call out this wonderful place and the dedicated people who run it. I hope to make the trip from Gurgaon an annual tradition, and highly recommend it for a getaway.
