Country Inn Naukuchiatal, 22Km Away from Nainital

The hotel’s facilities don’t match other 4 star hotels, but the food and hospitality more than make up for the other shortcomings. The menu doesn’t have many choices, yet every item we tried tasted delicious. I was blown away by how welcoming the staff were. Special mention to the manager, she’s doing a wonderful job there. 5* for her.

The interior is sophisticated, and the rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. The staff are awesome, well trained, and have proper etiquettes. It’s much better than oyo, and families can come too, it’s not just for couples.

There are only 20 rooms here, so this property is small compared with their Bhimtal one. Still, the staff do their best to meet your requests with the resources they have. It could be better if they maintained the children’s park and made the parking area nicer. Finding your way there the first time is difficult too, since there are hardly any signboards. I’ve attached pictures of the luxury deluxe rooms and surroundings.

The rooms are oddly designed and have no ventilation, and this place isn’t worth even half the price. When we checked in, there were both dead and live flies in the room. Housekeeping doesn’t seem to be organized, with no dedicated person for it. A multipurpose staff member came only after repeated reminders and did an unprofessional job. The linen and towels were dirty and stained. The maintenance guy switched off the hot water geyser every other time without telling us.
