Country Inn Sattal

The location is convenient, close to Mall Road, and the property looks attractive and well maintained. The rooms looked good overall, and the staff were polite and easy to talk to. But the stay wasn’t fully satisfactory. The bedsheets weren’t clean, and service was poor. When I asked for a heater, they first refused. I had to show them the amenities promised in my booking before they agreed to provide one. The dryer didn’t work properly either. The biggest problem was the geyser: it wasn’t working well, so we had to leave it on all night for hot water. One day they gave us a bucket of hot water instead. The location and appearance make it decent for a basic stay, but the service really needs work. My experience wasn’t very good.

On-site parking was a big plus, and the food was excellent. The service was top-notch, and the rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. We also appreciated the room heater. It’s in a great spot, just a two-minute walk from Nainital Mall Road, yet peaceful and easy to reach. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

Mall Road is only about 100 meters from the hotel, and Nainital Devi Temple is nearby too. The heritage property is very well kept. Since it sits on the mountain, you do have to walk or climb a little way from the main road.

We loved sitting on the porch outside our room for morning tea in the sun, and the night view of the city lights was lovely. The location was really convenient, close to Naina Devi Temple, Mall Road, the lake and other places. Breakfast was good, and the rooms felt cozy overall. Our first room upstairs was a bit cold and had a small bathroom, so when one of our original group of four left for work in Delhi, my mom, aunt and I moved to a comfortable room downstairs for the remaining two days. The rooms were spacious and nice, and we had a good family stay. The pot wasn't very good, though.
