I stayed at Hotel Prince in January, 2026, for a very special day, and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The huge balcony looked over Nainital Lake, and in the evening the town lights were like sparkling diamonds. The bedding felt high quality, the room was clean, and the bathroom fittings were brand new, with hot water available all day. It’s right next to St. Francis Catholic Church, so easy to find. I hadn’t booked online in advance, but still got the best room at the best price, with an exceptional off-season discount for a top floor lake-facing room. The receptionist was polite and welcoming, and gave us reliable local sightseeing information. They provided a room heater for an extra charge. There’s an in-house kitchen, and you can call in breakfast, lunch or dinner to have it served in your room. The food was really good and billed separately. I was very impressed and would recommend considering a stay here.😊💙🏨

We stopped at Prince Hotel, Mall Road, Nainital hoping for a comfortable, decent stay, but the reception staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. There was no basic courtesy or respect for guests. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a warm or professional welcome on their trip.

The only real downside is the number of stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend it for elderly people. Otherwise, the room was spacious, the view was nice, and the location was good. Food was good and reasonably priced. I stayed for one night.

I only spoke with them, but they were rude and made me feel unwelcome, as if they were doing us a favor. I’d suggest not wasting your time there if you’re looking for a nice experience.
