Naina Bird Resort

That bonfire was a nice extra and nudged my rating up. The mountain view is the main thing going for the place, though. There isn't much to do besides hiking in the nearby hills, and the drive in can be rough: most of the route is a one-vehicle road, so traffic jams are hard to avoid. Our room should have been cleaner. The usual package food was average, and special requests may not come out as you'd hoped.

The natural setting is beautiful, but my recent stay was awful. It's a newly built, good-looking resort, yet the person in charge didn't keep their promise: they said we'd get kheer, but served rice with milk instead. Service was the worst part. Food would run out while we were still having breakfast or lunch. There weren't any pros for me. The place charges almost 2k per person, while accommodation in the city is available for 1k per person. Food seems to depend on quantity too: we asked for dahi for seven people and got chach. It also didn't feel couple-friendly.

The staff were really helpful, and they arranged dinner to suit what we wanted and needed. The food was superb too. Simply superb overall, and I'll definitely come again.
