OYO 3836 Happy Homes

Getting to the room involved far too many stairs, which was exhausting and especially tough with luggage, children, or older travelers. No one mentioned this when I booked. At the reception, the manager was extremely rude, ill-mannered, and unprofessional, with no basic courtesy in the way he spoke to guests. My stay at Happy Home Hotel, Nainital was one of my worst hotel experiences. Comfort and hospitality were both severely lacking, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

We paid 7k for two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with a round bed. The staff were quick to listen and help. The bathroom, ambience, space, location, and balcony view were all amazing, and the outside view was especially beautiful. There wasn’t parking on site, but they helped us park at Govt. Parking Place. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in Nainital.

The rooms were very dirty, and the staff behaved terribly, especially the manager and reception staff. There was no sense of hospitality at all. It was the worst experience I can imagine, and I’d rather stay in Dharamsala than here. A big red flag.

The in-house restaurant serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, and the food quality was good. Service was good too, with soft-spoken, responsive staff. The hotel is on Mall Road near Tallital, and you can get a lake view from your room, so try to book one with that view. The Deluxe room is a little spacious by local standards and comfortable for two; for a family, choose the family suite. Prices depend on the season, but I found it good value for money and would recommend staying here.
