The staff were especially helpful and polite, and the food was delicious. We had a relaxing, refreshing stay in spacious, clean rooms, with a peaceful ambiance. A great place to step away from the daily routine and unwind. Highly recommended!

The setting is lovely, especially at sunset, with wide views of the surrounding mountains. Spacious, comfortable rooms make it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery. The property is in the scenic hill town of Nainital and would suit nature lovers. Service and guest management fell short, though. With better hospitality, the experience could match the impressive surroundings.

I couldn't even stay the night. The room was so unbearable that I checked out immediately, lost my money with no refund, and booked somewhere else just to feel clean and safe. Avoid this place. It felt like a health hazard and a fraudulent business. We had booked a "Luxury Room," but the bedding was stained and clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guest. I left with an itchy body and rash. The washroom smelled foul and was extremely unsanitary. The geyser, TV, cupboards, and flush were broken or unusable, so you have to use a bucket. Instead of a sunset view, there were moldy, damp walls. MakeMyTrip's advertisements were nothing like the grim reality at Sweet Home Sunset Resort. It claims to include 10 complimentary services, including drinks and breakfast, but when we ordered the supposedly free items, they charged us and then said those specific items weren't included. The advertised Complimentary Cab Service also turned out to be paid. Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, and the room telephone didn't work. When we raised this with the staff, Mr. Akash was rude and dismissive. He said, "Luxury rooms are our cheapest option," and told us not to expect anything better.

I travelled from Dehradun, and this was a perfect night halt, with both Kainchi Dham and Kasar Devi only a few hours' drive away. It's a reasonably priced, nice property with clean rooms, ample parking, and four big, loving dogs. The balcony looks out over a beautiful sunset and valley view. Free Wi-Fi was available, and the staff were very cooperative. Rajat, the Manager, was especially helpful. Food was fresh and well prepared, though there were no green vegetable options. The pillow covers could have been cleaner, the room sofa needs refurbishment, and the spring mattress needs replacing. The TV was quite small and had only limited free channels. The property sits steeply 100 meters down from the main road.
