The evening bonfire, music, and outdoor activities made the trip feel special, and the food had excellent quality and variety. The staff went above and beyond to keep us comfortable. It’s a beautiful spot for escaping city noise, with well-kept tents, basic amenities, and impressive hygiene. A memorable mix of adventure and relaxation, and I’d definitely visit again.
Our whole family enjoyed the stay at Cocoon Resort and would certainly visit again. Manager Mr Nadeef’s warm nature made us feel at home, and Deepak Bhai cooked wonderfully delicious food. The meals were exceptional, the staff incredibly courteous, and service outstanding throughout. The comfort, atmosphere, and breathtaking views made for a marvellous experience. Many thanks to everyone for the warm hospitality.
The mountain view added a lot to our stay, and waking up to birds chirping was lovely. We had an amazing Christmas celebration at Cocoon Camps and Nature Resort, with a DJ, complimentary bonfire, and festive atmosphere that made the evening special. The food was delicious, staff and manager were very polite and cooperative, and service was always on time. Truly a 5-star place, highly recommended!
The Cocoon Camps & Nature Resort, Pangot was a relaxing and memorable place for a peaceful getaway near Nainital. It’s surrounded by nature, with serene views and fresh mountain air. The staff were courteous, the food was good, and I’d recommend it.
We checked in to The Cocoon Camps & Nature Resorts, Pangot, Nainital and found there was no electricity at all, with no backup generator or inverter, not even for a basic light bulb. The remote location is understandable, but having no backup for guests is unacceptable. The wooden flooring in our room was burnt and damaged, and monkeys were everywhere in the morning, aggressively approaching and almost attacking as soon as we stepped outside. It made the surroundings feel unsafe. Food was a struggle from the start. We tried ordering lunch after checking in around 2:30 PM, but management said they assumed we had eaten on the way, so proper lunch wasn’t available. They told us to manage with sandwiches, Maggi, or plain dal rice. The menu listed lots of Chinese dishes, but momos weren’t available because they had no momo steamer. Their ready-to-serve soup packets were out of stock, and with no nearby stores they couldn’t arrange basic soup like Knorr. Hakka noodles weren’t available either. At a resort, it felt like we were struggling to get basic food instead of enjoying a holiday. We had discussed our BBQ arrangement with the reservation team before arriving, but the chef and property manager had no idea about it. There was clearly a breakdown in coordination between reservations and the staff on site. Rather than apologizing or trying to make us comfortable, they repeatedly told us to adjust to whatever facilities and food were available. When we asked about checking out and getting a refund because of the poor experience, we were told without hesitation, concern, or apology that we could leave after paying service charges. Overall, this was extremely disappointing, honestly one of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve had. Poor management, terrible staff coordination, limited food, badly maintained rooms, and no concern for guest comfort. The place seriously needs major improvements before calling itself a resort. Definitely not recommended.
