This was a great base for me and my friends to explore the Kumaon region on our cycles. We could easily get to everything we wanted to see, and had such a good time. The location is picturesque, and the hosts, Srikanth and his whole team, are genuinely warm and welcoming. It’s easily one of the top five Zostels I’ve stayed at, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone travelling to Mukteshwar.

Every day here felt like an adventure, with super chill vibes. Zostel Mukteshwar is beautiful, with a mind-blowing view, and remote without feeling too remote. It’s a haven for bikers. The food is great, especially the Pahadi and Butter Chicken, which you should try. Srikanth is the best host I’ve met at a Zostel property.

I spent one night at Zostel Mukteshwar during a trip to Nainital and Mukteshwar. It’s a lovely spot to relax, with a great vibe, good food, and a neatly maintained property. The host was warm and extremely friendly, which made the stay even better. Highly recommended.

I came for a short break and left feeling I’d found a little of myself in the mountains. Zostel Mukteshwar has peaceful energy, great views from the edge of the valley, and sunrises that feel like paintings. The terrace was my favorite spot for late-night chats, music, or simply sitting under the stars with chai or something stronger. Rooms were cozy, clean and warm on cold nights. The staff are relaxed, helpful and genuinely friendly, and made me feel part of the Zostel family from day one. Travelers from everywhere bring stories and laughter to the hills, and the vibe is hard to beat. If you want peace, good vibes and views that make you forget your phone, I’d highly recommend it. It’s more than a place to stay, it’s a feeling.
