The setting in the woods was peaceful, with a beautiful view, but the place felt eerie after sunset. For the two days we were there, it seemed like no other rooms were occupied, and nobody was around at reception or in the hotel unless we called for help. The staff who did assist us were polite and helpful. Breakfast was average. There was no room service phone, the charging sockets weren't properly placed for mobile phones, and the TV didn't work.

We stopped in for a quick meal on our way back from the golf course. The manager at the desk was professional, welcoming, and very helpful. Our food came quickly and was fresh, not pre-cooked. When the lobby toilet was occupied, he kindly let me use a vacant room to wash my hands, even though I said I was happy to wait. The staff and food preparation are what make this place a lesser-known gem. I might book the resort next time I'm in the area. The meals felt like home food away from home, and the stay and service were comfortable for a convenient price. The place is great for getting away from city bustle, though it felt a bit too quiet. Please hire some female staff and see the change overall.

The staff were welcoming and polite, and the manager was helpful. The rooms were clean, but the food was only okay. There isn't air conditioning, so you need to leave the windows open for fresh air. That lets in traffic noise from the main road just below the hotel, which could disturb sleep at night. Trees around the building block the view from the rooms.

We came during peak summer vacation, when Simla was crowded with tourists, and still had a lovely stay. The resort is in a peaceful spot, with comfortable rooms overlooking tall pine trees and a star-lit sky. At night it almost felt like camping under the moon. Even with a full house, the courteous staff handled all our requests competently and promptly. The friendly couple who own the place were there themselves, overseeing arrangements and making guests feel at home. We planned to stay one day, but the time there was so soulful that we wanted to stay longer. It was a marvelous place and experience.
