Hotel Fantacee

From the outside it looks nice, but my room was cramped and not very clean. The TV didn't work, and the mattress and blanket were dirty.

I found the rooms clean and well maintained, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, so the older Google and booking app reviews may not fully reflect it. I booked a single non AC room for my trip to rajkot, and it was clean enough for a solo traveler staying briefly. The washroom was very good, the bedsheets were fresh, and the room was disinfected. Lenin and toiletries were provided, and there was Wi-Fi and a TV. Several good restaurants are within walking distance, including Visawa, where the food was very good. I didn't find a lift, hot water geyser, or working phone. Even so, I'd give it 4 stars for cleanliness and hospitality, and it worked well for a solo stay.

The rooms are tidy and clean, and the location works well for nearby offices and the mall. But the room design makes the stay hard to recommend unless you need a very short visit on a tight budget. My room was incredibly small, with so little ventilation that it stayed musty, dusty, and damp smelling. For quality of life, it just wasn't good.

The location is handy, very close to Vashi railway station, but there's no nearby medical store, which is a serious drawback when traveling with older people or kids. I stayed 9 nights and found it too costly for the experience. Hot water was missing most days, the intercom didn't work for 5 of my 9 days, and bathing flooded the room. Ventilation was poor, and on 3 of my 9 nights reception switched off the AC, so I had to ask them to turn it back on. Even basic things like AC, TV, and water seemed to require a request at reception. Visitors weren't allowed before 12:00 PM, even for emergencies, which was really annoying when you're there to see relatives. One night I ordered coffee that was supposed to take 15 minutes, but it never arrived even though it was on the bill. I didn't claim the Rs.20 because I was late, but check the restaurant bill. The restaurant also had only 5 to 6 items. The owner should take these reviews into account and improve things. A lift would make the hotel more attractive.
