The bathroom wasn't attached to the room. It was out on the balcony, so I had to walk there with a towel wrapped around me while people nearby could see. During the 24 hours I stayed, they didn't give me even a glass of drinking water. There were no toiletries either, just two small soaps when I asked. The washroom was unhygienic, and I had to keep a hand on the loose shower knob to make the water run. I had an OYO confirmation that I could check in around 10:30-11 am, but still waited another 30 minutes. I was exhausted from travelling overnight and had a meeting in three hours, so I stayed rather than look for somewhere else, despite the poor room and hotel condition. The room I got was completely different from the booking picture. Later that evening, a strong, pungent smell irritated my eyes and breathing. The stairs were very narrow, which seems risky in an emergency, and I couldn't find an OYO sign at the property. I wasn't sure whether OYO checks its partner hotels before listing them. This wasn't worth Rs 1500. I left tired, feeling I'd wasted the money, and wouldn't recommend a place that felt like a mood spoiler and a risky stay. OYO should check hotels before bringing them onto its network.

The room was dusty and poorly cleaned, and staff were rude. It was on the top floor with no elevator. There was no bathroom water from 10 PM until 6 AM, and the room lights went out for about 15-20 minutes in the morning.

They refused to let me check in because I didn't have a marriage certificate. I showed photos of the marriage and other things, but they still wouldn't give us a room, and then refused to refund the money. I eventually got it back through MMT. The staff were poor, and the man at the desk seemed unsure of everything, repeatedly calling other people to ask what to do. Half the listing photos were fake, though the ones showing old buildings were accurate. This was the worst place I've ever seen.

I've used OYO for about five years and often stay in different cities for work. The hotel itself was good, but the last four visits have brought the same check-in problem. It happened in Delhi and again in Mumbai: I booked and paid, then hotel staff denied me entry because OYO's price was below the hotel's actual rate. Late at night I had no other option and ended up paying twice. I wouldn't recommend booking through OYO again. It feels like a big scam.
